Credit Union of Georgia, (Formerly MACO Educators Federal Credit Union) began in 1960 by local educators that wanted a place where employees of the school system could borrow money from one another in a cooperative. From our humble beginning with seven members, $35 in assets and a supply closet for an office, Credit Union of Georgia now serves over 23,000 members with over $120 million in assets with four locations.  In 2007 we changed our charter from a Federal to a State, which should allow us to expand upon our services to our members and allow for future growth.  In doing so, we changed our name from MACO to Credit Union of Georgia which will be more appropriate for the geographich areas we now serve.

Credit Union of Georgia is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution that provides a complete line of financial services including checking and savings, electronic services, loans, student loans, mortgages, credit cards, and home equity loans.
